Jeffery P. Hazell Athletics Center tickets & upcoming events

If you’re into sports or just wanna see some serious athletic action, the Jeffery P. Hazell Athletics Center in West Haven is a spot worth checking out. It’s not just your average gym; this place has a vibe that’s hard to match. You’ll find a trophy showcase that’s actually pretty impressive, tons of championship awards from various competitions, kind of like a hall of fame. They upgraded the heating and cooling system back in 2016, which honestly made a big difference, especially during those intense winter meets. Speaking of meets, the center hosted the A-10 indoor championships for three years in a row, with the latest being march 18th, 2017. The facilities are pretty modern too, with a water refill station installed in the late 2010s that makes staying hydrated easier for athletes. If you’re lucky enough to snag a seat, the private suites overlooking the central arena are where you wanna be, super comfy and perfect for catching all the action courtside. Getting here is a breeze, just tell your cab driver to drop you off at the campus athletic facilities on University Street, or hop on the city’s rapid transit bus heading toward the campus and get off at the sports fields stop. Whether you’re a die-hard sports fan or just someone who appreciates a good venue, this place packs a punch.
